Van T. Willis is a part-time federal magistrate judge for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He was appointed to this position on May 15, 2015.[1][2]

Education

Judge Willis received both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Kentucky.[2]

Career

From 1989 to 1991, Willis clerked for Judge Gene Brooks of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. After his clerkship, Willis joined Kightlinger Gray LLP. In addition to his part-time duties as a federal magistrate judge, Willis serves as a senior partner with Kightlinger Gray LLP and chairs the firm's business practice and estate practice group.[2]
