Two of the five seats on the Farmington Municipal Schools Board of Education were up for by-district general election on February 7, 2017. In her bid for re-election to District 2, incumbent Robyn Hoffman ran unopposed. District 3 incumbent Bill Young did not file to run for re-election, leaving the seat open for a newcomer. Vernon Keith Corley was the only candidate running for that seat.[1]

Funding

Candidates in the Farmington Municipal Schools election did not have to file campaign finance reports. The state only required campaign finance reporting for school districts with an enrollment of 12,000 students or more.[2]
