Two Verona Village Current Levy Replacement measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the village of Verona which is in Montgomery County.

Both measures were approved

The first measure sought to replace the current street levy with one set at a rate of $.19 per $100 of assessed property value for a further four years in order to continue to pay for current operation expenses in the village.

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

First Measure: A replacement tax for the benefit of Village of Verona, for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding one and nine tenths (1.9) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to nineteen cents ($0.19) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for four (4) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.

Second Measure: A replacement tax for the benefit of Village of Verona, for the purpose of current operating expenses at a rate not exceeding two (2) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to twenty cents ($0.20) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for four (4) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
