This measure sought to renew the current expenses levy which is set at a rate of $.35 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to help pay for current expenses in the village.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of the Village of New Vienna for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding three and five-tenths (3.5) mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to thirty-five cents ($0.35) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
