W. Michael Maloan

William Michael Maloan is the chancellor for the Twenty-Seventh District Chancery Court. The court presides over Obion and Weakley counties in Tennessee. He has served on the court since 1990 and was re-elected in 2006 and 2014. His current eight-year term expires in 2022.[1][2][3]

Education
Maloan received his undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin in 1972 and his J.D. degree from the University of Memphis in 1974.[1]
Career
Maloan practiced law with the firm of Brundige, Maloan, Gallien & Moore from 1975 until he joined the Twenty-Seventh District Chancery Court in 1990. He also previously served as a municipal court judge for Martin City Court.[1]
