Wayne Shelton Boyette is a judge of the 7A and the 7BC Judicial Districts, which preside over Nash, Wilson, and Edgecombe counties of North Carolina.[1] He was elected on November 4, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2018.[2]

Judicial performance evaluation
In July 2014, the North Carolina Bar Association released the results of a survey in which it asked lawyers to rate the judicial candidates for the trial courts. The candidates were rated from one to five on five different criteria as well as on their overall performance.[3]

Education
Boyette received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1984 and his J.D. degree from Campbell University in 1987.[4]
Career
Boyette has been a partner with Rountree & Boyette LLP since 1991.[4]
