Assembly Bill 340 is one of a series of bills that was designed to limit access to the Wisconsin Circuit Court Automation Program. The bill was introduced by Reps. Frederick Kessler, Marlin Schneider, and Annette Williams. AB 340 allows individuals who have an eviction record or wrongful conviction to be removed from the system if the circuit court did not reach a conviction or a civil liability judgment. This would have been done by having the individual file a request with the Director of the Wisconsin State Court System.[1]
Current bill status
The bill died in committee on April 28, 2010, when the Legislature adjourned for the session. The bill did not get a floor vote in either house of the Legislature.[2].
