Zoe Newton
Zoe Newton was a 2012 candidate for the Eighteenth Judicial District of Kansas in 2012. Based on unofficial election results, Newton was defeated by incumbent-Democrat Richard T. Ballinger in the November 6th election.[1]
She works as an attorney and Vice President for the Hartman Companies.[2]
Education
Newton received her undergraduate degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton (1995) and her J.D. degree from Cornell Law School.[3]
Career
Newton has worked as an Assistant Attorney General and as a member of various law firms. She works as Vice President and General Counsel for the Hartman Companies.[3]
2012 election
Newton ran for election on Nov. 6, 2012 against incumbent Richard T. Ballinger.[2] Based on unofficial results, Newton was defeated by Ballinger after receiving 48.18% of the vote, with 77,726 votes. Ballinger earned 51.72% of the vote, with the remaining votes going to write-in candidates.[1] She ran in the election as a Republican.[4]
