Sharon Bourne-Clarke (Democratic Party) is a judge of the New York Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District. She assumed office on January 1, 2024. Her current term ends on January 1, 2038.
Sharon Bourne-Clarke (Democratic Party, Republican Party, Conservative Party) ran for election for judge of the New York Supreme Court 2nd Judicial District. She won in the general election on November 7, 2023.
Education
Clarke has a bachelor's degree from Brooklyn College, a master's degree in public policy and administration from Harvard University, and a J.D. from City University of New York Law School.[1]
Career
Prior to her election to the bench, Clarke worked as the founder and CEO of Central Brooklyn Legal Services Corp. She has previously worked at the Legal Aid Society's Criminal Division in Queens, New York. She served as counsel to New York City's Office of Corporation Counsel, and as deputy general counsel at the New York State Division of Human Rights.[1]
