Diane Gullett is the superintendent of Marion County Public Schools. Gullett was appointed superintendent on July 1, 2020. Gullett's previous career experience includes being the deputy superintendent for Clark County School District in Nevada, the area superintendent for Orange County Public Schools in Florida, and a principal.[1]

Past superintendents

  • Heidi Maier was the superintendent of Marion County Public Schools from 2016 to 2020. Maier's previous career experience includes working as an assistant professor at Barry University and as the program manager of teacher education at the College of Central Florida.[2]

Marion County Public Schools school board consists of five members elected to four-year terms. Board members are elected to specific geographical districts in at-large elections.[3][4]
