Jim Clark was a judge for the Yuma County Superior Court in Arizona. He was elected to four-year term on November 6, 2012, but resigned on April 1, 2013, citing personal reasons.[1][2]
Education
Clark received his undergraduate degree and his J.D. from the University of Arizona.[3]
Career
Clark served as a judge for the Yuma County Superior Court from his election on November 6, 2012, until his resignation on April 1, 2013. Before serving on the court, he was a Yuma County prosecutor and civil litigator and also an instructor for the Arizona Trial College.[4]
Awards and associations
Clark was recognized as one of 100 Best Trial Lawyers in Arizona 2011 & 2012. He spent seven years as a member of the Arizona Supreme Court Committee on Character and Fitness and is a former president of the Yuma County Bar Association.[4]
2012 election
After a short delay in election results, Clark was declared the winner with 19,703 votes. Clark defeated incumbent David M. Haws by 366 votes.[5][6][7][8][9]
