A Champaign Health District Levy Renewal measure was on the March 6, 2012 ballot in Champaign County.

The measure was approved

  • YES: 4,119 (57.03%) Approveda
  • NO: 3,104 (42.97%)[1]

This measure sought to renew the current health district levy which was set at a rate of $.04 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for operational costs in the district.[2]

Text of measure

The question on the ballot:

A renewal of a tax for the benefit of Champaign Health District for the purpose of THE OPERATION OF THE CHAMPAIGN HEALTH DISTRICT at a rate not exceeding four-tenths (0.4) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.04 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2012, first due in calendar year 2013.[3]
