Michael L. Lunceford was the District V seat holder on the Houston Independent School Board from 2009 to 2017. He was re-elected to the board in an unopposed race on November 5, 2013.
Biography
Lunceford grew up attending HISD schools: Ila McNamara and Horace Elrod Elementary Schools, Walter Fondren Middle School and Westbury High School. Lunceford volunteered with HISD and held leadership positions within the district. He received a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1981 and has worked the Vice President of Engineering for Pedernales Energy.[1]
