Noteworthy events

Judicial misconduct allegations (2016)

In December 2016, the Pennsylvania Judicial Conduct Board filed a complaint accusing Judge Hladio of judicial misconduct. According to the complaint, Hladio showed "improper conduct toward district court clerks," "improper demeanor" while serving in court, and a "failure to uphold and apply the law." The allegations span his time on court, beginning in 2010. Hladio responded to the allegations, saying, "I deny the allegations, and I do not believe it is fair or appropriate to comment any further out of full respect for the judicial conduct board process." In February 2017, the board suspended Hladio for 90 days.[3]
