General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 31.4 percent of the vote. She competed against Janet E. Garrow.

Bettinger received her undergraduate degree in pre-law and political science from Central Washington University in 1998, and a J.D. from Thomas Cooley Law School in 2000.[2]
