Paul Thomsen is a former member of the Nevada Public Utilities Commission. He was appointed to the commission by Gov. Brian Sandoval (R), effective October 1, 2015. He served as the chair of the commission until October 2016. He resigned in May 2017 without publicly stating a reason for his departure.[1][2]
Biography
Prior to being appointed to the Nevada Public Utilities Commission, Thomsen served as the director of the Nevada Office of Energy. Before entering the public sector, he worked as the director of policy and business development for Ormat Technologies.[1]
