Katie Wilson is the Mayor of Seattle in Washington. She assumed office on January 1, 2026. Her current term ends on December 31, 2029.
Wilson ran for election for Mayor of Seattle in Washington. She won in the general election on November 4, 2025.
Mayoral elections in Seattle are nonpartisan. Wilson is a Democrat.[1]
Biography
Katie Wilson studied physics and philosophy at Oxford University. Her career experience includes working as the co-founder and executive director of the Transit Riders Union (TRU). Her other experience includes being a political columnist for Cascade PBS, PubliCola, The Urbanist, and The Stranger.[2]
