Update: Timothy Vocke was defeated in the February 21st primary election, winning only 29.9 percent of the vote.[1] In the April 3rd general election, Michael H. Bloom defeated John F. O'Melia.[2]

Oneida County, Wisconsin: Judge Patrick O'Melia may soon see a familiar face in the Oneida County courthouse. Patrick's brother John F. O'Melia, an attorney at the law firm O'Melia, Schiek & McEldowney, is running for an opening on the Oneida County Circuit Court. There is an vacancy due to the imminent retirement of Mark A. Mangerson.[3]
Patrick's brother John made it clear that the brothers would run their respective branches separately and without interference.
- "The branches are separate, they are each run as their own individual courtroom and just the fact that Patrick is the sitting judge in Branch I would not in any way hinder or interfere with how the operations of Branch II are conducted."[3] - John F. O'Melia
O'Melia will face Timothy L. Vocke and Michael H. Bloom in the election.[4] The election will consist of a primary on February 21st and general election on April 3rd.
