Christopher Nye is a judge of the Third Judicial District of Idaho. He was appointed to this position by Governor Butch Otter on November 15, 2013 and his current term expires in 2017.[1][2]

Education

Nye received his undergraduate and law degrees from Kansas University.[1]

Career

Nye began his legal career in 1983 as a deputy prosecutor for Canyon County. He then served as a deputy public defender in Nampa, Idaho until 1990, when he became a private practice lawyer. He focused on civil litigation and family law and became a partner of White Peterson Attorneys at Law. In 2013, he was appointed to the District Court.[1]
