Brendan L. Shannon

Brendan Linehan Shannon is a judge on the Delaware Bankruptcy Court. He was sworn in as a bankruptcy judge on March 13, 2006, and his current term expired on March 12, 2020. Shannon served as chief judge from 2014 to 2018.

Education

Judge Shannon received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and his J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia.

Career

Before his appointment in 2006, Shannon was a partner with Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP in Wilmington, Delaware. While at Young Conaway he represented corporate debtors and official committees in Chapter 11 cases.
