James L. Wittenberg is the chief judge for the 45A District Court in Michigan.[1] He was elected to the court in November 2008 and assumed office in January 2009.[2] In 2009, he was appointed chief judge by the Michigan Supreme Court.[3]

Wittenberg received a bachelor's degree in public affairs from Indiana University and a J.D. degree from Wayne State University.[2]
Career
Prior to his election to the court, Wittenberg worked for the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office from 2005 to 2008. He has also served as an assistant prosecutor in Wayne County.[2]
