This measure sought to implement a levy of 6.75 mills which would have been an increase of the current permanent levy of .5 mills. 3.95 mills of the levy will be a five year operations levy which would have gone towards operational and general costs of the school district. The rest of the millage, 2.3 mills would have gone towards paying for a bond in the amount of $26 million which would help build a recreation center and a K-4th grade facility. On average, homeowners would have paid an additional $25 per month in property taxes if this measure had been approved.[2]
