John E. Sanders was the chief judge for the Thirteenth Judicial District of the District Courts in Kansas. Sanders retired from the court in 2010.[1]

Sanders is joining the Kansas Supreme Court on a temporary basis, due to the ill health of Justice Robert Davis. He will hear appeals on March 12, 2010.[2]
