Nancy Tong was a Democratic candidate for District 43 representative on the New York City Council in New York. She was defeated in the primary election on September 12, 2017.
Biography
At the time of her 2017 run for city council, Tong was the community relations director for New York State Assemblyman William Colton (D).[1] Her experience also includes service as a district leader for the 47th Assembly District, member of the New York Democratic State Committee, co-president of the United Progressive Democratic Club, and co-chair of the Anti Waste Transfer Station Committee.[2]
