John Van Meter was an at-large representative of the Neenah Board of Education. He did not seek re-election in 2018.[1]

Van Meter has taught in a number of capacities, including as a high school math teacher for 32 years and as a college professor for nine years. He has also worked as a tutor for both traditional and home-schooled students. In addition to teaching, Van Meter managed his family's farm for 17 years. He also volunteers at the St. Vincent de Paul in Neenah. Van Meter earned a bachelor's degree from Lawrence University and a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Notre Dame.[2]
