2015
The city of Las Vegas, Nevada, was initially scheduled to hold elections for mayor and city council on June 2, 2015. A primary election took place on April 7, 2015.[2] Because one candidate received more than 50 percent of the vote in the primary election, the general election was called off. The filing deadline for candidates who wished to run in this election was February 6, 2015.[3] Three of the six city council seats were up for election.
In the primary election for mayor, incumbent Carolyn Goodman defeated Stavros S. Anthony, Margaret Ann Coleman, Phil "LOL" Cory, Bruce Feher and Abdul H. Shabazz.[4][5]
