Richard Bennett was a candidate for an at-large seat on the North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale School District 622 school board in Minnesota. Bennett was defeated in the at-large general election on November 8, 2016.

Bennett previously ran for a seat on the board. He was defeated in the general election on November 6, 2012.

In their bids for re-election, incumbents Theresa Augé, Steve Hunt, Nancy Livingston, and Becky Neve faced challengers Richard Bennett, Crystal Coleman, and Danny Porter. Ramsey County was home to 538,133 residents in 2015, according to the United States Census Bureau.[4] The district was the 12th-largest school district in the state in the 2013–2014 school year and served 10,742 students.[5]
