William H. Hackel, III is a judge for the 42nd District Court in Michigan.[1] He was appointed to the court by Governor Granholm in July 2009. He was elected on November 2, 2010 and his term expired on January 1, 2019.[2][3][4]

Education

Hackel received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his J.D. from the University of Detroit.[4]

Career

Hackel served as an assistant city attorney for Warren before joining the court. He also worked with the firm Pollard & Albertson.[4][5]

Hackel was re-elected after running unopposed in 2012.[6][7]
