Kimberly G. Koester is a resident judge of the Fourth Circuit in Effingham County, Illinois. She was elected in 2006. She was retained in 2012 for a term that expires in 2018.[1][2]

Education

Koester received her B.A. degree from Miami University in 1985 and her J.D. degree from Washington University in 1988.[2]

Career

Koester has worked as a private practice attorney in Effingham County; a State’s Attorney and Public Defender for Jasper County; an attorney with Sebat, Swanson, Banks, Garmon & Townsley and an Assistant State's Attorney for Vermillion County. In 2006, she was elected to the circuit court.[2]

2012 election

Koester was retained on Nov. 6, 2012 with 76.5% of the vote.[3][4]
