Carol Berkman

Carol Berkman was a justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. She was appointed to this position in 1982 and retired on November 21, 2012.[1][2][3]

Education

Berkman received her B.A. degree from Cornell University in 1963 and her J.D. degree from Harvard University in 1967.[1]

Career

Berkman began her judicial career in 1979, when she was appointed by Mayor Koch to the Criminal Court of New York County. She was reappointed to this position by Mayor Dinkins in 1989, by Mayor Giuliani in 1999 and by Mayor Bloomberg in 2009. Since 1982, she has served on the New York County Supreme Court.[1]
