General: He was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 33.9 percent of the vote. He competed against Mark Tynes.

Lengefeld earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Baylor University in 1967.[3][4]
Military experience
Lengefeld is a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army from 1967 to 1969.[4][3]
Career
Lengefeld served as a member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1999 to 2001.[3]
