Lewis ran for election to the 295th District Court.
Primary: She ran unopposed in the Democratic primary on March 4, 2014.
General: She was defeated in the general election on November 4, 2014, after receiving 43.6 percent of the vote. She competed against Caroline E. Baker. [1] 

Education

Lewis earned a B.A. in environmental studies and political science (with a minor in philosophy) from Tulane University in 1996. She went on to receive her J.D. from the University of Texas in 2000.[2]
