FRANKFORT, Kentucky: State representative Carl Rollins, II resigned on April 24 to become executive director of the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority.[1]

Rollins had served in the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2007-2013.

A special election will be called to fill the seat. Rollins easily won re-election in 2012, garnering more than 61 percent of the vote.
