Vendean Vafiades

Vendean Vafiades served on the Maine Public Utilities Commission from 2007 to May 2012.[1] She resigned her seat early in order to become director of advancement and external affairs at the University of Maine School of Law.[2]

From 1997 until her appointment, Vafiades served as a judge on the District Court, and was appointed as the Chief Judge in 2002.[1] Vafiades also served as a Chief Deputy Attorney General and Counsel to the University of Maine System.[1]

Vafiades was first appointed to serve as a commissioner on the Maine Public Utilities Commission in January 2007 and then reappointed.[1] She resigned her seat in May 2012.
