Melissa R. McCormick is a judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California. She assumed office in 2015. Her current term ends on January 8, 2029.

McCormick won re-election for judge of the Superior Court of Orange County in California outright in the primary on June 7, 2022, after the primary and general election were canceled.

McCormick was appointed to the court by Governor Jerry Brown on July 23, 2015. At the time of her appointment she was a partner at the law firm of Irell and Manella LLP.[1]

Education

McCormick earned her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.[1]

Career

McCormick was appointed to the Superior Court of Orange County on July 23, 2015. Prior to joining the court, she was a partner at the law firm of Irell and Manella LLP and served as law clerk for the Honorable Emilio Garza of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.[1]
