Thomas Olson is a judge of the East Central District Court in North Dakota. He was appointed by Governor Jack Dalrymple on February 26, 2014, to complete the term of Lisa Fair McEvers.[1]

Olson's appointed term ended on January 1, 2017. He won election to a full six-year term in 2016.

Olson received his undergraduate degree from Augsburg College. He went on to earn his J.D. at William Mitchell College of Law in 1981. Before becoming a judge, Olson was an attorney in Fargo for 32 years. Most recently, he worked for Johnson, Ramstad & Mottinger.[1]
