Bob Anthony
Bob Anthony (Republican Party) was the Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner. He assumed office on January 9, 1989. He left office on January 13, 2025.
Anthony (Republican Party) ran for re-election for Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner. He won in the general election on November 6, 2018.
Biography
Anthony became president of C.R. Anthony Company retail stores in 1980 at the age of 32. He served in this position for seven years and was then elected to the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in 1988. Anthony became the first Republican on the Commission in 60 years. Prior to joining the OCC, he served on a number of boards including the Oklahoma State, Oklahoma City and South Oklahoma City chambers of commerce, the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Oklahoma Science and Arts Museum, Liberty National Bank, Banks of Mid-America, Inc., the Dale Rogers School for Retarded Citizens, and the Kirkpatrick Center. Anthony married his wife, Nancy, in 1975. They have four daughters.[1]

Anthony won a fifth, six-year term as Corporation Commissioner in 2012. He defeated Brooks Mitchell in the June 26th Republican primary and was unopposed in the November 6th general election.[2]
