Rodney Jordan
Rodney Jordan was a member of the Norfolk Public Schools in Virginia, representing Superward 7. He assumed office on July 1, 2012. He left office on January 1, 2025.
Jordan ran for election to the Norfolk City Council to represent Superward 7 in Virginia. He lost in the general election on November 5, 2024.
Biography
Jordan has worked as the chief community engagement officer at the McKinley Megginson Group. He has volunteered with the Park Place Civic League, the Norfolk Sister City Association, the Urban League of Hampton Roads, and the Hampton Roads Committee of 200+ Men.[1]

Two of the seven seats on the school board were up for general by-district election. Incumbent Noelle Gabriel defeated Carter Smith for the Superward 6 seat. Incumbent Rodney Jordan ran unopposed and won the seat in Superward 7.[2]

Elections for the city council of Norfolk, Virginia were held on May 6, 2014. Incumbent Alveta V. Green did not run for re-election. Mamie B. Johnson defeated Glen L. Jones, Sr., Lionell Spruill, Jr., Marcus J. Powell, Rodney A. Jordan and William H. Collins, Jr. for the Ward 3 seat.[5][6]
