Timothy Grendell is a judge of the Geauga County Probate/Juvenile Court in Ohio. He was appointed in 2011.[1] He was previously a Republican member of the Ohio State Senate, representing District 18. He served in the Ohio State House of Representatives from 2000 to 2004. He joined the Ohio State Senate in 2005 and served in that position until 2011.

Education

Grendell earned his B.A. from John Carroll University in 1975. He went on to receive his J.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1978. He then earned his LL.M. from the University of Virginia School of Law in 1983.

Military service

Grendell was a captain in the United States Army from 1978 to 1983.

Career

Elections

2010

In 2010, Grendell decided to run for his former house seat in District 98.[2] In the general election, Grendell defeated Mary Briggs (D), Bob Cannon (C), and Marc Saric (I).[3] However, following his election to the Ohio House of Representatives, Grendell decided to remain in the state senate, where he was term-limited in 2012.[4]

On November 4, 2008, Grendell was re-elected to Ohio State Senate District 18.[5] He ran unopposed.
