Daniel D. Crabtree is a federal judge on senior status with the United States District Court for the District of Kansas. Prior to joining the court, he was a partner at the law firm of Stinson Morrison Hecker LLP. In August of 2013, President Obama nominated Crabtree for a seat on the United States District Court for the District of Kansas.[1] The United States Senate confirmed Crabtree on April 30, 2014 by a vote of 94-0.[2]

Early life and education

Crabtree attended Ottawa University, earning his B.A. in 1978. He went on to earn his J.D. in 1981 from the University of Kansas School of Law.[3]

On August 1, 2013, President Obama nominated Daniel D. Crabtree to the United States District Court for the District of Kansas to fill the vacancy left by John Lungstrum.[1]

Crabtree was rated Unanimously Well Qualified by the American Bar Association.[4]

Crabtree's nomination was returned by the Senate on January 3, 2014 and he was renominated on January 6th by President Obama.[5]

Crabtree's nomination was reported to the full Senate on January 16, 2014, after a voice vote by the Senate Judiciary Committee.[6] The Senate confirmed Crabtree on April 30, 2014, on a vote of 94-0.[2]
