C. Christopher Bean was the chief district court judge for the 1st Judicial District, which presides over Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Dare, Gates, Pasquotank, and Perquimans counties of North Carolina. He served as a judge for the court from 1993 until his retirement from the bench in December 2014.[1][2]

Education

Bean received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his J.D. from the Wake Forest University School of Law.[3]

Career

Before he became a judge, Bean worked as an attorney in private practice and served as an assistant district attorney for fourteen years.[2]

Elections

2010

Bean was re-elected to the 1st Judicial District in the general election after running unopposed.[4]
