James G. Collins is the first justice for the Franklin/Hampshire Juvenile Court in Massachusetts.[1] He was nominated to the court by former Acting Governor Jane M. Swift in March 2001 and was sworn into office on November 2, 2001.[2] Collins may serve on the court until he turns the mandatory retirement age of 70.[3]

Education

Collins received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts and his J.D. from Suffolk University.[4]

Career

Collins is a former Democratic member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.[2]
