Christine A. Carney was a judge for the Larimer County Court in Colorado. She was appointed to the court in 1998.[1] Carney retired in December 2013.[2]

Education

Carney received her undergraduate degree from Michigan state University and her J.D. from the University of Colorado.[1]

Career

Prior to joining the court, Carney was an attorney in private practice for seventeen years.[1]

Carney was retained in the general election on November 6, winning 77.27 percent of the vote.[3]

Judicial performance evaluation

The Eighth Judicial District Commission on Judicial Performance announced its recommendations for judges up for retention in 2012. According to its website, the commission evaluates judges based on the following criteria: integrity, legal knowledge, communication skills, judicial temperament, and administrative performance.[4]


Judge Carney was recommended for retention by an unanimous vote. [1]
