Robert Stuart Albright (Democratic Party) is a judge for District 24C of the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division. He assumed office on January 1, 2024. His current term ends on December 31, 2030.

Albright (Democratic Party) ran for re-election for the Judicial District 18C judge of the North Carolina 4th Superior Court Division. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.

Albright was initially a superior court judge for the 18th Judicial District of the Fifth Division of the Superior Court in North Carolina.[1] He was appointed by Governor Mike Easley in 2006 to serve out the remainder of the unexpired term of his father, Judge W. Douglas Albright.[2]

In 2018, the North Carolina General Assembly passed House Bill 717, revising the state superior court, district court, and prosecutorial districts. Albright's seat on the Fifth Division was absorbed into the Fourth Division.

The North Carolina Superior Courts are split into five divisions and 48 districts. Superior court judges rotate among the districts within their division every six months.[3] However, superior court judges are elected by voters in their district and must reside in the district in which they are elected.[4]
