Gerard Caswell is a judge for the 27th Judicial District in Louisiana. He was elected on November 7, 2014, to a term that expires on December 31, 2020.[1][2]

Primary: He was elected in the primary on November 4, 2014, receiving 74.8 percent of the vote. He competed against Scherri Guidry.

Education

Caswell received B.S. in business administration and a J.D. from Louisiana State University in 1980 and 1983, respectively.[3]

Career

Before his election to the district court, Caswell was an attorney for the St. Landry Parish School Board, Acadia Parish School Board, St. Landry Parish Drainage Districts, and Hospital Service District. He has also served as an attorney for the Louisiana Jaycees.[3]
