Edward J. McLaughlin (New York judge)

Edward J. McLaughlin was an acting justice for the New York County Supreme Court, Criminal Term in the 1st Judicial District of New York. He was appointed to this position in 1986.[1][2]
In addition, McLaughlin was appointed to the New York City Criminal Court in 1983, and was reappointed to this position in 1992, 2002, and 2012.[1]
Education
McLaughlin received his undergraduate degree from Fordham College in 1969 and earned his J.D. from the Georgetown University School of Law in 1972.[1]
Career
McLaughlin began his career in 1972 as an assistant New York City district attorney. In 1977, he joined the New York State Anti-Corruption Special Prosecutor's Office as a special assistant attorney general. He then worked from 1981 until his appointment to the bench in 1983 as a deputy executive director of the Executive Advisory Commission on the Administration of Justice.[1]
