Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I grew up in a working-class neighborhood in Dundalk, MD. My family was on the lower end of the economic ladder. It was my mom’s hard work in obtaining her education that moved our family up the economic ladder. She and my dad demanded that their sons obtain a good education. I received a scholarship to Loyola High School and subsequently to Loyola College. While in college, I enlisted in the Maryland Army National Guard. After a couple of years, I applied for and was accepted into Officer Candidate School (OCS). Upon successful completion of OCS, I was assigned as an Infantry Platoon Leader.

On the civilian side, upon graduation from college, I obtained a job as an auditor with the Office of Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services. After several years, I left that job to pursue a career in law enforcement. I then started to work as a Police Officer with the Baltimore County Police Department. Subsequently, after three years, I went to work for the FBI. I retired from the FBI in 2021 after 24 years of service as a Special Agent. I have a wonderful wife and great kids.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

• Public Safety/Crime - My experiences in over 27 years in law enforcement drive my response. I believe government’s response to crime is among government’s primary functions. People need to feel and be safe in their homes and neighborhoods.
• Education - A quality education was key to my family being able to move up the economic ladder; therefore, it should be avialable to all. Schools need to be held accountable. Government money should follow the student.
• Economy - Inflation is hurting everyone - especially impacting those who can least afford it. Energy security/independence would aid in lowering the everyday costs of all Americans.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Crime, education, and the economy are all very important issues which are impacting everyone in the District. I would also be focusing on the National Debt (over $30 trillion), a Medicare Part A Trust Fund going insolvent in 2026, a porous border allowing untold amounts of drugs and illegal aliens into the country, and China's continued theft of our intellectual property are just a few of the issues about which I am passionate.
