Michael Valenzuela is a judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He assumed office in 2022. His current term ends on January 1, 2029.

Valenzuela ran for re-election for judge of the Maricopa County Superior Court in Arizona. He won in the retention election on November 5, 2024.

He was appointed to the court on March 11, 2022, by Gov. Doug Ducey (R) to replace Teresa A. Sanders.[1]

Biography

Michael Valenzuela earned both his B.A. and his J.D. from the University of Arizona. Prior to his appointment to the bench, Valenzuela worked as an Assistant Attorney General in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office.[1] Before that he served as Vice President of the Los Abogados Hispanic Bar Association.[2]
