I'm a lawyer, a community advocate, and I'm running to build a more transparent and responsive City Government.

I have previously worked for a federal judge, been a staff attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, and run my own law practice. I worked tirelessly to pass groundbreaking legislation through Cleveland City Council in 2019 that will better protect our children from lead poisoning.

Over and over again I've seen up close that stagnation and ineffective government at City Hall are holding our city back. I will work hard to represent every corner of Ward 12, from Old Brooklyn to Slavic Village, from Brooklyn Centre to Tremont.
  • We need to restore trust and transparency at City Hall
  • We need to tackle the fundamental problems facing our city like poverty, inequal housing, and public safety.
  • We must make sure we provide excellent city services and restart critical programs like recycling.
I'm passionate about improving our housing stock and decreasing inequality in our city.
City Council is the legislative body for the City of Cleveland. We play a critical role in making sure city services work better and setting the path forward for the city.
They need to care about their community and want to work to make it better.
I got my first job when I was 15 as a page at the local branch of the Cuyahoga County Public Library. I shelved books and helped to keep the library organized. I worked there all through highschool and it gave me a lot of responsibility and freedom. I'll never forget the feeling of getting my first paycheck!
Not necessarily -- to do this job well you need to have excellent customer service skills and provide top-notch constituent services. You have to be a team player who can work well with our Community Development Corporations and City Departments. Certainly my legal background and legislative background will help, but I don't think it's necessary to do the job well.
