  • Proven Judicial & Law Enforcement Experience: I bring nearly 30 years of public service to the bench, including a 23-year career with the El Paso Police Department and my current role as a District Court Bailiff. Having served 15 years specifically in Northeast El Paso, I don’t just know the law—I know this community. I offer the unique balance of a "Seasoned Veteran" who understands the letter of the law and a neighbor who understands the spirit of justice.
  • A "People’s Court" That is Truly Accessible Government should work for the people, not the other way around. My commitment to Precinct 2 is a court that is open and available: Full-Time Service: Standard 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM hours with no "short weeks." Impartiality: Ensuring every ruling—especially in sensitive matters like eviction hearings—is dictated strictly by Texas Law, free from personal or industry ties. Transparency: A court where real people get real help, ensuring justice is accessible to every resident.
  • Compassionate & Smart Reform: I believe in accountability that strengthens our community rather than just penalizing it. My platform focuses on: Truancy Reform: Prioritizing mentorship and addressing the root causes of absences over simple fines. Animal Welfare: Stricter enforcement of animal abuse and abandonment laws to protect those who cannot speak for themselves. Integrity: Applying the law with a firm hand when necessary, but always with the compassion and fairness that Northeast El Paso deserves.
Restorative Justice, Truancy Reform and Accessibility.
I am deeply passionate about reforming how our judicial system handles truancy. Rather than simply imposing heavy fines that place a financial burden on struggling families, I believe in accountability over fines. My goal is to implement smart reform that addresses the "why" behind school absences-tackling the symptoms of the problem to keep students in the classroom and on a path toward graduation. I believe that a court is a public service; it should be accessible to everyone. I am committed to maintaining a full-time court hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM) to ensure that "real people get real help."
